BIO
I grew up in suburban Sydney, on the edge of the South Pacific Ocean. Armed with an Arts degree and eager for exotic adventure, I signed on to teach in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for two years. The Papuan children in my first primary class won my heart and that fabulous land became an absorbing interest.

The two years blew out to a decade. During that time I moved from a classroom without walls to the opulence of glass louvres at the University of PNG, where I taught English and wrote external courses. I also acquired a yacht-building husband and two children. Eventually we sailed our yacht to Sydney, where I studied Linguistics, returned to teaching, and had a third child.

However, nostalgia for PNG days led to the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Fiji, those glorious islands where I lived for four years. Now all three children have grown and flown, I live in Sydney again with my husband and tabby cat.
I hope to share my deep affection for the South Pacific islands with readers of the Fiji Islands Mysteries.
